Autism Derby is an independent service providing an individual service based on a child's individual needs. The team use an eclectic approach using an range of autism friendly strategies.

Julie Fearn has over 36 years experience of working with autistic children and young people, their families, schools and settings. She has worked for the Local Authority in a School with an inclusive Enhanced Resourced Unit attached and more recently for an Autism Outreach Team for a Local Authority.

Julie's qualifications include a Bachelor of Philosophy in Autism. Julie has specific training in many autism approaches including TEACCH at home and 3-day TEACCH, PECS, Attention Autism, Intensive Interaction, Social Stories, Comic Strip Conversation, Talking Mats, Zones of Regulation, Sensory - many, various courses including Griffin OT and Is it Sensory, Is it Behaviour? AET Training and Progression Framework.
Alongside qualifications Julie has a wide and varied knowledge and experience both professionally and personally. Julie use her knowledge and experience to make each child's support individual to them in an eclectic approach.
